Holy30 Introduction

cream-floral-design-powerpoint-backgrounds (1)On Wednesday we introduced Holy30, our 30 days to holiness challenge for the month of September. Today we want to flush it out a bit more.

What does 30 days of eating “spiritually pure” mean? What will it look like? And will you take the challenge?

For starters (and firstborns who want a to-do-list and things neatly in a package) this isn’t about a list of rules! This will look different for each person who takes this challenge.

The goal is to examine your own life and ask, “Where am I eating spiritual junk food?” Just like our physical diet we all may eat junk food from time to time. So these are things aren’t sinful in and of themselves, but taking 30 days away from these things will reset your spiritual “body”.

What could “spiritual” junk food look like?

TV, romance novels, the News, magazines, secular music, some friendship or relationships, movies, internet use, social media, computer games, or a host of other things can become “spiritual” junk food in our lives.

Since the goal is to put off this spiritual junk food, we have to replace it with spiritually pure food.

Our hope would be that you’d find time daily to be in God’s Word because you’ve removed something from your life and that at the end of these 30 days you will be more sensitive to “spiritual junk food” in your life!

So every weekday in September we will have a short devotional to keep you encouraged and on track! Make sure you join our FB: Holy30 events page and interact with fellow moms who are trying the “30 days to Holiness”!

We are praying for you to experience God in a new fresh way this September and to grow closer in your walk with Him! We also hope to hear from you and ways that God has used this challenge to draw you near Him!

What spiritual junk food do you think you’ll set aside for 30 days?
